Emeco’s 111 Navy chairs at popular London restaurant and club, House of Wolf. Described as “Victorian lair for pleasure-seeking gastronomes” the site on Upper Street Islington embraces the features of the original 1830’s pub perfectly mixed with contemporary design features, experimental food and inventive cocktails.

Made of recycled Coke bottles the 111 Navy Chair plays a given part in Coca-Cola’s new Ekocycle initiative, raising awareness of reuse and recycling. Mark Hix opened his new restaurant Tramshed in East London in May. The 1000 sq foot electricity generating station built in 1905 is featured with a giant Damien Hirst “Cock & Bull” submerged in a water tank. Sir Terence Conrans 80th birthday is celebrated this year with a major exhibition called The way we live now at the Design Museum London, exploring the impact and legacy of the eighty-year-old designer. Superbrands London 2011 featuring the 111 Navy chair at the The Boiler House, Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London. The events took place during the London Design festival in September where architects, designers, retailers, press and public was able to see innovative products and concepts, alongside an extensive daily talks programme.
