Shown at the Whitespace Gallery in Atlanta was also Emeco’s Lancaster Chair designed by Michael Young, made using sustainable ash wood legs and a polished recycled aluminum seat. This collection of chairs, tables and stools combines warm, crafted wood with highly technical die-cast aluminum.
Lancaster Chair, Light ash wood legs with a seat made in a light grey nano coated aluminum, installed at Musashi Place, Library & Culture Center Tokyo Japan.
The beauty of the Lancaster collection is in the details. The front is inset into the wood for more strength, the custom glides are inserted with a dove tail detail, and the aluminum back is connected to the wood frame with two special screws for an industrial but warm appearance.
The Lancaster collection comes in two wood colors, made with super strong and durable, sustainable ash wood from Lancaster crafted at a local Amish factory in Pennsylvania, known for generations of excellent wood working.
