Clif Bars HQ in California is energy-efficient using repurposed materials! Kathy Berg at ZGF architecture explains, ”The most significant environmental choice we made on this project was what we didn’t do. We often chose not to select new or replacement materials when existing finishes were appropriate.” said Berg in the recent article for greensource.  Here Kali’s Kitchen with 1006 Navy Chairs made with 80% recycled aluminum.

The first Korean outlet of  Dean & Deluca opened in Shinsegae department store in Seoul this fall. In close collaboration between Brands_ltd UK and Duomo& Co in Korea the 1006 Navy Chairs from Emeco were installed giving the place its perfect atmosphere. “The first store will offer premium and artisanal groceries along with an espresso bar and a deli. To stick with that New Yorker-feel we focused on that.” said Dean and DeLuca director Hwang Kyung-sun to the Korean herald.

Shanghai based architects Neri&Hu was awarded the top prize at this years inaugural INSIDE: World Festival of Interiors for their demonstration of the future economic value of re-using, turning a former Japanese army building from the 1930’s into ”The Waterhouse Shanghai”. Here featuring the classic 1006 Navy  in the hotel’s 19 suites. Read more at Inside festival, Architecturenow.co.nz  Image: Derryck Menere
